Intelligent sensing
Passive sub-terahertz sensing, with secure cloud-based automated data analysis.
Pi360
Pi360 is a handheld, non-intrusive inspection camera that detects liquid moisture and CUI on your industrial pipework and process vessels – all without removing the outer polymeric cladding layer.
Developed to complement your existing asset integrity inspection operations, Pi360 cost-effectively enhances your risk-based inspection campaigns through the inspection of your operational plant.
Due to an integrated array of advanced sensors, Pi360 captures a broad range of measurement data critical for asset integrity teams; its integrated sensors include:
- High-speed, low noise sub-terahertz sensors that enable detection of concealed CUI and moisture
- An intelligent inertial measurement unit that tracks relative linear velocity, angular position, and geomagnetic orientation
- A metal detection sensor which identifies banding concealed beneath protective cladding
Optimised Data
Pi360 is designed to optimise the performance of the inspection process. During each inspection, the software does not display live data, helping the user to focus on using the device correctly and capture the highest quality data possible. Upon completion of each scan, an instant data check is performed to ensure the data has been captured correctly and saved properly.
During inspections, Pi360 transmits data wirelessly to an ATEx approved hard-hat worn display computer. Using the latest machine learning technology and developed for operational industrial environments, the user controls Pi360 and the inspection software primarily using voice commands.
The display computer has in-built visible and thermal wavelength cameras, which are accessed seamlessly through Pi360’s software to enable the capture of multi-spectral inspection data for each asset.
Pi360 inspection data is uploaded to a secure cloud database where detailed hybrid data analysis is conducted; through a combination of machine learning enabled automated analysis and experienced qualified inspection engineer review.
Using Pi360
Pi360 provides the user with multiple voice controlled operational modes designed to suit various inspection activities.
- Freehand mode supports inspection of prone areas and complex geometries
- Pipescan mode uses configured workflows to guide the user through optimised 360° pipe inspections by combining multiple real-time linear scans into a single inspection dataset
