S.T.A.R.
Reduce the complexity and cost of CUI.

SCAN
Prepare work efficiently
Establish a strong foundation for your campaign. Scope and plan your CUI screening activities from Subtera’s S.T.A.R. cloud dashboard, ensuring all relevant information is captured at the start of the process – a critical step in any RBA or RBI-led programme.
Using the S.T.A.R. system, engineers prepare workflows, capturing key asset data at the outset. Details including asset ID, process temperature, and fabric type are uploaded from the S.T.A.R. cloud dashboard into the ‘RealWear Navigator ® Z1 with Thermal Camera’, which is an ATEX Zone 1 certified hard-hat worn display device.

Maximise productivity
Weighing 1.9kg and crafted for handheld operation, the S.T.A.R. sensor, named Pi360, efficiently screens operational pipework and process vessels, while insulation and polymeric cladding remain undisturbed – supporting non-intrusive inspection as recommended in risk-based approaches.
During the screening process Pi360 captures a range of data using integrated onboard inertial sensors. These sensor measurements monitor the speed, direction, and scan angle during the process, helping to ensure the activity is being conducted correctly.

TRACK
Reduced overheads
Subtera’s S.T.A.R. sensor can be operated by a single user. While an asset is being screened, the workflow software guides the user to conduct the process correctly. Upon completion of each scan, an instant data check is automatically performed, to ensure the data has been both captured and saved properly.
While operating the device, users can record voice notes and observations relating to the activity. All sensor data is transmitted wirelessly to the display device; which is equipped with the latest speech recognition technology, enabling users to control the screening process using voice commands.

ANALYSE
Save time. Scan more.
When screening data is uploaded to Subtera’s secure cloud, data analysis tools automatically locate and highlight anomalies, relating to CUI, moisture, and other localised variance within the screening data.
User voice notes recorded during the screening activity, are filtered and processed to highlight the insights and observations from the field engineers.

REPORT
On demand reports
Remove the time consuming and arduous task of preparing reports. Subtera’s S.T.A.R. system combines the results from the quantitative data analysis, with the engineer’s qualitative voice notes, to auto-generate comprehensive and insightful reports.
Any visible or thermal photographs captured during the activity can also be included within the report.

Export 3D scans
The array of sensors within Pi360 enables the S.T.A.R. cloud dashboard to spatially align all measurement data, before converting it to 3D models for export into third party applications such as digital twins.
Developed for the future of inspection
Subtera’s technology platform is suitable for integration with new and existing robotic platforms.
